American Anarchists and Terrorists*

The coronoavirus is literally a matter of life and death. And the only recourse we have is strict stay-at-home orders. And when you must go out, social distancing and the wearing of a mask. It's not difficult. So it's infuriating to see Americans defy these simple measures, flaunt them, and even worse, protest them. They're not only putting their lives and their family's lives in jeopardy, but they're allowing the virus to spread uncontrollably. And that will just prolong the lockdown. Hey, no one ever said Trump voters were all that bright (which the White House counts on).

I've written about it many times, but again, the reason right-wingers are so defiant is because these orders came from those evil, commie, pinko Democrats and scientists who they've been brainwashed over the decades to despise and not trust because they're "out to get us" (or Republicans or Trump). As I've proven in this blog, it's a Fascist death cult. So right-wing conservatives will not believe Democrats under any circumstances when they say anything contrary to the GOP lies and propaganda they're inundated with every day. Because if they did believe them, or even Dr. Fauci (who's been threatened), then those evil commie pinko liberal Democrats and scientists would be right. And they will never admit that. So they would rather risk their lives and their family's lives, and spread the virus, out of spite. Did I say it was a Fascist death cult? It's just like their staunch opposition to gun control. They have to oppose it because the "gun grabbers" who "want to take our guns away" are for it. And they won't believe in climate change because the scientists "have a radical left-wing agenda." So their opposition to (fill in the blank) is always "justified" by manufactured paranoia and one conspiracy or another (or another). Cults do that. And this virus is no different.

Anyway, whether it's going bowling, getting their nails done or going to the beach in the mist of this pandemic, these selfish protestors (and that's being kind) should be reminded that during WWII their parents, grandparents and great grandparents rationed everything from food to fuel. For years! They had to use coupons to buy every day necessities! And they didn't complain about it and certainly didn't protest it. On the contrary. They were glad to do whatever they could for the good of country. And yet, we have selfish Trump voters complaining that they can't get a tan or hair cut. How dare they! It's a slap in the face to those Americans who sacrificed during the war. And a punch in the face to every doctor and nurse who's risking their lives every day treating coronavirus patients. And giving their lives.

Maybe these selfish Americans should complain that they can't get their hair done to a doctor or nurse who can't get the proper protective gear because their incompetent "president" is a narcissist and sociopath and doesn't give a crap. And then steals their supply orders (I know, I know, Liberal media! Fake news!).

But there's more.

Instead of doing whatever they can to prevent the disease from spreading - for the health and well being of the country - protestors have stormed state capitols with assault rifles and intimidated and threatened lawmakers to end the lockdown (so legislators have to wear bullet proof vests). Also, a governor and state troopers were the targets of an assassination attempt; local officials were intimidated into amending mask requirements; a store security guard was shot and killed because he had the nerve to ask a customer to wear one; two 16-year old fast food employees were shot by customers who were told they couldn't eat inside; and a Texas Ranger was pushed into the water at a park for asking people to distance themselves. And now they're going after health care workers. Of course they are. (May 21 insert: A restaurant cook was shot for telling a customer to wear a mask.) (May 25 insert: The governor of Kentucky was hung in effigy because of his stay-at-home orders.)

So, nope, staying at home, wearing a mask and social distancing is just too much to ask during a pandemic of a highly contagious and deadly disease. Selfish bastards. Selfish terrorist bastards (and that's also being kind). There isn't much else to say, except, they truly hate America. Every single one of them.

But this is what happens when you mix too many guns, mass paranoia, multiple conspiracies, exponential ignorance, monumental selfishness and a massive, massive cult.

And all this selfish defiance, and these armed protests, shootings and assassination attempts, were instigated by the cult's leader himself. As I said last time, there are no words anymore.

And this isn't the first time armed American protestors insurgents have stormed state capitols.

So welcome to the new America, where gun owners are intimidating and threatening legislatures and elected officials into doing what they want. Is this how things are going to work now? Legislate our way at the point of a gun - or else?

And make no mistake. These intimidating and threatening armed groups are not "exercising their constitutional right to protest." And I'll prove it. First, they didn't have to bring their guns, but they did to send "a message." And intimidating and threatening legislators are neither "lawful" nor "peaceful" forms of constitutionally protected protest. In fact, since they were intimidating and threatening, they weren't "protesting" at all, and therefore, weren't exercising their right to protest. And second, if armed doctors and nurses stormed capitols and threatened lawmakers demanding coronavirus test kits, ventilators and protective gear, or if they were environmentalists protesting the lack of action on climate change - heck, if they were black protesting cops shooting unarmed African Americans, or they were from the Crips or Bloods - Trump, the GOP, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Fox "News" would be outraged and call them what they are: "anarchists," "terrorists" and "mob rule." My God, they'd be screaming about them for days weeks months! And those blacks would have been shot dead in their tracks. But it's always OK if you're a Republican. Even lawlessness and anarchy.

(After armed Black Panthers walked inside the California state assembly and protested on the state house steps in 1967, it led to legislation barring loaded firearms inside the capitol which Gov. Ronald Reagan and the NRA supported. So gun control is OK as long as Republican governors are for it.)

At one time, protestors held signs. Now they're carrying AR-15's and AK-47's, intimidating and threatening elected officials and workers, planning assassination attempts, and shooting security officers and teenagers. And it's worse than that. A lot worse. And even worse.

And, again, this is all instigated by the "president" himself. So anarchy, assassination, terrorism and mob rule - armed mob rule - has not only come to America by Americans, but it's coming from inside the White House!

This type of armed insurgence, intimidation, anarchy, assassination and terrorism is typically seen around the Colombian cocaine trade, banana republics in Africa and central and south America, and corrupt, chaotic, war-torn countries like Iraq, Afghanistan or Somalia. Congratulations American anarchists and terrorists, you've now placed the United States of America in that company. You should be so proud.

At least one state is treating these protestors appropriately. It's called "rule of law," something anathema to right-wingers, at least when it's supposed to apply to Republicans. Did I say they hate America?

I wonder, along with voter suppression, extreme political gerrymandering and torturing prisoners, where these protestors anarchists and terrorists - who supposedly "love America" - would rank this armed insurgency of intimidation, mob rule and murder when they wrap themselves in the flag and boast of "American values." I'll have to remember the next time sanctimonious Republicans and right-wingers tell us that Democrats and liberals "hate our troops" when our "soldiers are risking their lives for American values."

That said, let the record show that we've gone from the "greatest generation" to the absolute worst: an anarchist, terrorist, Fascist and Nazi (also here here and here) death cult...who have the nerve to brand themselves "pro-life." As I said, there are no words anymore.

Heck of a job, "President" Trump, Republican "Party," Trump voters and American anarchists and terrorists. Heck of a job.

May 13 insert:

Now there's this.

...in Lancing, Michigan, with rhetoric calling for an armed takeover of the state Capitol and assassinating Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. "We need a good old fashioned lynch mob to storm the Capitol, drag her tyrannical ass out onto the street and string her up as our forefathers would have," one of them wrote on an anti-lockdown Facebook page—a sentiment that was repeated on that page and others.

And there were more of these threats of assassination of the governor, including beheading.

"Either President Trump sends in the troops or there is going to be a midnight lynching in Lansing soon."

"Plain and simple she needs to eat lead and send a statement to the rest of the democrats that they are next."

“She needs her ass beat. Most of these politicians need a good ass whooping. Just. Punch there lights out.”

[Responding to a suggestion to bring guillotines] "Good ol’ fashioned bullets work better, but I like the enthusiasm."

"Wonder how long till she’s hit with a shotgun blast."

"Can we please just take up a collection for an assassin to put that woman from Michigan down."

"We could’ve taken over the capital last time if we wanted. This was just a display. Next time won’t be!"

"If she thinks the last protest was bad she hasn't seen anything yet."

"We haven’t had any bloodshed yet, but the populous is counting to three, and the other day was two. Next comes watering the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants."

There are no words. None. All Americans should be enraged. Threats are not "free speech," not even for Trump voters. It's anarchy and terrorism by Americans who despise their country and want to destroy it. Even more.

May 21 insert:

We keep hearing that "We're in this together." What a crock. Anyone who is opposed to staying home, social distancing and wearing a mask is mocking it and giving Americans the finger. And those anarchists and terrorists are pointing their assault rifles at it. So working together for a common objection no one can disagree with (oh wait) in the United States of America is just too evil, commie, pinko liberal to adhere to.

So I don't want to hear the phrase anymore; at least not until it's true. But good luck with that.

June 3 insert:

In the wake of the George Floyd murder, of course right-wingers would accuse the protestors of being the anarchists and terrorists. And it is a fair way to label the rioters because destruction, arson and looting can never be justified nor condoned. I don't care how egregious the injustice is (but as I said years ago, this is the result of gross injustice and unfairness). And those responsible for attacking police should be arrested and prosecuted. But not if it's in self-defense because stand your ground!

But as Hunter at Daily Kos points out, there are double standards.

White Americans wearing body armor and carrying assault rifles can storm a state capitol building demanding the state's bars and restaurants reopen and be met with a "president" telling the state's governor that the protesters have a point. Unarmed Black Americans hold protests objecting to the cold-blooded murder of a man at the hands of the police, and state governors are told by the Defense Department that they must "dominate the battlespace."

And some of this violence

And some of this violence was started by the police themselves. They're instigating confrontations with peaceful protestors by attacking them, resulting in a predictable response. And that just makes things worse. Obviously. Haven't police forces around the country learned anything from previous protests over the years?

Also, some of this violence was started by these radical right-wing groups, whose goal is to blame blacks and the left and ignite the civil war they're looking for.

And instead of calming the volatility of the protests, "President" Trump wants to add fuel to the fire by bringing in the military (he can't), which is exactly what these right-wing groups want. In fact, they're facilitating it by creating some of the violence we're seeing. Anarchists and terrorists indeed.

And these anarchists and terrorists spent weeks intimidating and threatening governors and legislatures with their guns because of tyranny, tyranny, tyranny! But when Trump uses force and tear gas to remove peaceful protestors just so he can have a photo-op, we don't hear a peep out of them.
