Republicans & Stem Cell Research

Republican opposition to stem cell research is based in religion. Europe went through the same thing in the early 1600s when Galileo had the nerve to suggest - and prove - that the Earth revolved around the sun; not the other way around which everyone believed at the time.
The Catholic church not only tuned their back on Galileo, but placed him under house arrest for having such a sacrilegious belief.
It set science back hundreds of years.
So here we are in the 21st century, once again turning our backs on science because of religion.
I have only one thing to say to narrowminded and ignorant Republicans: Get your feakin' heads out of the 17th century!
