More Bush Spin

Give me a break, what the hell do you EXPECT him to say?
The influential cleric Al-sistani was promised elections. So if they were postponed, he'd call for a jihad against us that would create such chaos, it would make what's going on in Iraq look like a picnic. So there's absolutely NO reason whatsoever for Bush to even infer that they might have to be postponed, especially when they're four months away!
Bush is only saying what he has to say! Duh!
And besides, postponing the elections would be admitting failure. And for a guy who won't admit any mistakes, that's not happening.
But if these "elections" are held, they'll be a joke because how the hell are they going to ensure that they're honest and above board (Aug. 20, 2005 insert: it appears they WERE RIGGED
But most important, a long line of Iraqi's stretching for blocks, heading into a polling place will be perfect targets for suicide bombers. And they can't be protected.
There's no way elections can be held until the country is stabilized. And that's not happening any time soon. So Bush, as expected, is just spinning like a top.
But why is the so called "liberal media" making such a big deal out of Bush's "resolve?" Why is the so called "liberal media" reporting that he's "staying the course no matter what," as if he's some great leader who "says what he means, and means what he says" when he has NO OTHER CHOICE but to keep saying "the elections will be held in January?"
Anyone who's painted himself so far into a corner that he's got paint on his shoes, WOULD show "resolve," I assure you. It's a game of chicken and Bush's steering wheel doesn't work!
Bush is nothing but a chicken himself who doesn't give a friggin' hoot about anyone or anything - except his reelection.
WAKE UP AMERICA!
